I'm getting really sick of all these "exclusives" being nothing more than TIMED exclusives... They should really have to qualify the level of exclusivity before claiming it's exclusive to any specific platform.
I think both PS3 and 360 camps can at least agree on this. The PS3 got hosed early on with alot of exclusives going multi, and now 360 owners are getting the delayed ass-boning with this "timed" crap.

They had to slow it down to compensate it for something, not just for the hell of it. Probably to give the feeble memory architecture time to buffer textures or prevent tearing.
but I'll be even happier when I'm playing it on my 360 at full speed :)

I'm not sure... everything I've heard so far is that all cut-scenes are rendered using the game engine. Maybe they just use uber textures for the cut-scenes though. I'm curious about this. Still looks great, can't wait...

As much as I hate post-release patches to fix bugs in order to meet release dealines, at least they're trying... Now if they dropped the price to 40bux, it might be worth a buy.
Don't forget PC versions are 10bux less than their console counterpart, usually come with editors, support free fan-mods, etc,etc,etc.
Aside from homogenizing the experience on consoles and guaranteeing a title will perform to a certain spec on everyones hardware I see no reason console games should be $10 more, usually with less content.

If there was a hack somewhere and I could flash the PS3 to read all formats I'd pick one up in a heartbeat!!! Now THAT would be interesting. Sony wouldn't be able to churn them out fast enough... Very interesting indeed.
What if you just want a cheap HD-DVD player?... Considering the PS3 is neither cheap, nor able to play HD-DVDs I fail to see your logic.
Why aren't you droids hyping up the fact that this is now a cheaper alternative for 360 owners than the HD-DVD add-on, and how bad M$ HD-DVD drive will get pwned by cheaper HD-DVD alternatives,.... meh.

Boy, I sure am glad they came up with that for consoles too!!! I was worried we wern't being pimped enough with $60 titles and miniscule free dl content... now we get to see decreased bandwidth and a backdoor into our systems so adverts can load, JOY indeed !!!
As per the article. It's all about how much money a dev. can wring out of developing a game. As is evidenced by most "exclusives" being "timed exclusives" and going mulitplatform.... They don't wan't to "waste" resources and time to develop for specific install bases. Great for business, sucks for gamers. It has nothing to do with making groundbreaking games for specific hardware unfortunately.
